Why some brands are making AI slop and other brands are actually profiting from it

Happy Monday,

Most e-commerce brands think they have a traffic problem. They do not. They have a content problem.

Tell me if the following sounds like you:

You have a five-star product. You have the margin. You have the team. What you do not have is enough good videos in the algorithm on instagram and tiktok shop, fast enough, to feed your amazon or tiktok shop growth. So growth feels like pushing a boulder uphill, and you end up blaming the ad account.

I want to share why that is happening, and what the brands making a $1m/mo on amazon + tiktok shop alone figured out.

The shift nobody has priced in yet

Anthropic released Skills for Claude. Most brands will use them like fancy prompts. They type something, get one answer, and next week they type it all over again and re-explain their brand from scratch. That is not a system, and it's not scalable.

Here is the difference that matters.

A prompt works once. A skill works every time, the same way, forever.

A skill is a module Claude already knows. You teach it your brand one time. Your voice. Your products. Your offers. For health brands, your compliance lines. Then you call it by name and it runs. The same locked persona. The same hook library. The same rules. No retyping. No re-explaining. No copy and paste from twenty docs.

That is the whole line between using Claude and building with it. And it is why a small team can now run hundreds of videos and dozens of affiliates without drowning.

Why this changes everything for e-commerce

For years, content was the bottleneck. You needed creators, samples, shoots, editors, and luck. Brands send free product to ten creators, one posted, it got 3,000 views, and then they called it a flop.

That model is broken. TikTok Shop is a volume game. Holding $100K a month takes thousands of videos in market. No simple sample program gets you there. No in-house team gets you there.

So the winning brands built an engine instead. AI affiliate accounts that post every day and earn commission like real creators. Real human creators briefed on the hooks that already work. And a set of skills that runs all of it on repeat.

Here is the part that surprised me most. Most shoppers do not really care anymore whether the face recommending a product is real. Especially for most supplement, skincare, and these types of e-com brands, their customers are ladies in their 30s to 60s often. And that audience is often hit best by really high-quality women affiliates and now by AI authority figure avatars.

Male affiliates that before had no business promoting to these audiences now have the opportunity to do so because of AI.

Now, there are quite a few brands that are actually scaling using AI affiliates as well as established TikTok shop affiliates.

Why it works, in plain terms

Three simple truths drive this whole thing.

One. Volume wins. More content means more shots at a winner. The brand with the most good videos in market wins, not the one with the biggest budget.

Two. Trust sells. People buy from voices that feel confident, consistent, and believable. A locked persona that shows up every day builds that trust. A random AI face that changes every video kills it.

Three. Data decides. The AI accounts are a cheap lab. They test dozens of hooks a week for a few dollars. The winners get more budget and go to your human creators. The losers get cut. Nobody guesses.

Put those together and one TikTok Shop engine lifts everything. Your Amazon search climbs, so your Best Seller Rank climbs, so buyers who never saw a video still find you. Your Shopify traffic climbs too. One engine, every channel.

The mistake most brands make

They treat this like a one-time experiment. They launch two videos, see flat numbers, and quit one week before it would have worked.

The brands that win treat it like a real part of the team. Daily content. Daily testing. A 30-minute review every Monday to scale winners and cut losers. The technology matters less than the consistency and the discipline.

Once brands treat organic affiliate campaigns like an engine and they lock in to do it long term, that's when they start to see real success.

The bottom line

The tools get better every month. The cost keeps dropping. Buyers are already comfortable with this kind of content. The brands that adopt it early will have a big edge later.

You do not need a bigger ad budget. You need more good content in market, a trusted voice, and the discipline to test and scale every week. That is the whole game now.

Hi, Black Friday is won in October, not in November. The brands that print on BFCM are not the ones with the biggest ad budget that week. They are the ones who spent the last two months building an army of creators, testing angles, and climbing rank so that when the traffic floods in, they are already at the top of search with a stack of proven creative. Most brands do the opposite. They wait, then panic-buy ads in November against everyone else at the highest CPMs of the year. Here is the...

Hey, $500K in a few months for one brand. A team of viral AI and human affiliates. I directed it for maybe a few hours a week. I spent months asking one question. What if I could make winning creator content faster than a brand could ever shoot it, and use it to push outside sales that grow revenue on both Amazon and TikTok Shop as much as possible? Turns out I can. Eight- and nine-figure brands on Amazon, TikTok Shop, Shopify, and retail are already paying for it. The factory runs 24/7. I...

Happy Monday, Most brands think paying an affiliate more than the sale is worth is insane. The smartest Amazon and TikTok Shop brands are doing it on purpose. It is one of the best money moves in e-commerce right now, and once you see the math you cannot unsee it. Here is the whole play, why it works, and the recent numbers to prove it. Grab a coffee, this one is worth the read. The Two Armies There are two jobs to do, and one army cannot do both. So you run two at once, both on commission,...
