TikTok Shop, Amazon, or Shopify first?

Hey,

Quick change of plans.

Yesterday I said today would be about why some brands pay AI creators more than the sale price. That one is coming. Just not today.

Because before owners ask about creator pay, they ask something simpler:

"Where do we even start?"

Brands keep asking me: "Should we start with TikTok Shop, Amazon, or Shopify?"

I hear it a few ways on our calls.

"How would it work if we focus on Amazon, or focus on TikTok?"
"Do you have something built just for Shopify?"
"Everything is on Amazon. We don't want to do TikTok Shop yet."

Here's my honest answer.

It's not really a "pick one" choice. Each platform does a different job.

1. TikTok Shop is where people find you.
People discover, watch, and buy without leaving the app. Real creators show your product on camera. That builds trust fast.

2. Amazon is where people already trust you.
If you sell well on Amazon, you already have reviews and proof. That trust carries over to TikTok Shop. Your best Amazon reviews even become your first TikTok scripts.

3. Shopify/d2c is your home base.
Connect TikTok Shop through the TikTok sales channel inside Shopify. Your products, stock, and orders stay in sync. No copy and paste.

So which comes first?

Start where your proof already is. For a lot of brands, that's Amazon. Then add TikTok Shop on top.

Why this matters

The brands that grow fastest don't choose. They build one affiliate army with two sides.

Side one: TikTok Shop affiliates.
Real creators who build trust and sales right inside TikTok.

Side two: locked AI creator pages.
Pages on Instagram and Facebook with one face, one voice, and one persona. Forever. They send buyers to Amazon, and every sale is tracked to a named page.

And the two sides feed each other.

A hook that wins on TikTok becomes a script the AI pages run the next morning. Sales on Amazon help your rank, so your brand starts to feel familiar. Familiar brands are easier for TikTok creators to sell.

Brands that run only one side stay small.

What about Shopify? You can send traffic to your own site. But we usually send AI page sales to Amazon. The reason is tracking. Every creator gets their own named Amazon Attribution link, so you can see exactly which page made which sale.

Your part stays small. Lock your tracking tags and rates in writing. Say yes to the content plan once. We run the creators every day and grow the winners.

Quick one: "How many videos will we get on tiktok shop?"

Short answer: volume is the plan. The best way to scale is definitely to aim for volume.

TikTok Shop is a content volume game with a data brain. Most videos do a little. A few win big. You need lots of shots on net to find those few.

Here's how our playbook sizes it:

  • First $10,000 a month on tiktok shop: 50 to 100 videos, to find hooks that work
  • $50,000 a month: 300 to 500 videos, to build a creator base
  • $100,000 a month: 1,000 to 3,000 videos, to push Spark Ads and GMV Max

These are planning targets, and are adaptable for each brand. Every category moves in its own way.

And how many views should you aim for or expect on TikTok? Nobody honest can guarantee them. But when you work with the right creators, you can definitely have an expectation of what type of views you will get.

When one hook sells, we write 20 more like it.

So judge the machine by how fast it finds and grows winners, not by one view count. And get the posting plan in writing before you start, so everyone expects the same thing.

Hey, Almost every brand call I'm on hits the same moment. The owner leans in and asks: "Okay. What's this really going to cost me?" Fair question. Here's the honest answer. Brands keep asking me: "What does TikTok Shop cost, all in?" Most brands only think about one number. The agency fee. But the fee is just one of four buckets. Plan for only one, and you run out of gas right when things start working. Here are all four. 1. The team (fixed).Someone has to run the machine every day. Recruit...

Hi, Black Friday 2026 is close. If you already run a big brand, the hard part is not “can we sell.” The hard part is that the week is going to be loud, and the brands with more good ads are going to take the sales. So here's how to be one of those brands. TikTok Shop is where people watch and buy in the same place. That matters in Q4 because shoppers are tired. They do not want a long path. They see a video, they tap, they buy. If you are not in that feed, you are not in that checkout. Paid...

Hi, Black Friday is won in October, not in November. The brands that print on BFCM are not the ones with the biggest ad budget that week. They are the ones who spent the last two months building an army of creators, testing angles, and climbing rank so that when the traffic floods in, they are already at the top of search with a stack of proven creative. Most brands do the opposite. They wait, then panic-buy ads in November against everyone else at the highest CPMs of the year. Here is the...
